Airport security check - ciggs

Can we bring cigarettes on board? Or in the check in luggage? Or both? Would they scan it out/do anything?

I think lighters are a no in check ins and only the normal noob ones allowed on carry on. Right?

you can bring ciggs on board. how would checking in work? buy overseas and try to smuggle back? if you're buying from sg dfs to bring overseas, you would hand carry since your luggage has already been checked in.

whether or not you can carry a lighter on board depends on the country. ok for sg. no for india, china and who knows where else. never tried to check in a lighter. what's the point?

Lighters are strictly prohibited regardless hand-carry or check-in.
