Sadly airconmen still mostly dominated by foreign workers because few sinkies willing to do. The compressor very heavy. If not careful you can strain your back or if worse hurt the spine.

Aircon install and repair is quite harsh work. Not easy and dangerous (have to use a makeshift slide to slide the compressor from the kitchen windows to the ledge outside the bedroom because the bedroom window too small).

If you have skills, you can make money in Singapore because we are not taught things like that here. Everything is about paper qualifications.

I've seen a car mechanic who used to work in a top Japanese automotive firm, open his small garage and expanded 3 times until his team now services over 15-20 cars a day.

Last time I remember there was a company in Singapore that clean the outside of Westin Stamford or something

Pays very well, equipment is minimal cost cos a lot is just one time cost then it’s just soap and squeegee. You just need to go to the roof, attach the gondola and just go down floor by floor and clean the windows. By the time you finish all the windows in one column, it’s like one day liao. And by the time you finish all the windows, time to start over

It was good money. Simple job. One reporter tried to do it on the tv and once he got into the gondola, he just squatted down and refused to move

It’s like one guy who is paid dunno how many thousands to change one light bulb at the top of Eiffel Tower. Just one day job only but earn some people’s annual salary.
