I had great experience with Dell alienware series cause I used to owned alienware m14x and it was great, no issues at all. Until this alienware x51 desktop model which I purchased last year.
Problem:
Its default OS is windows 7, it kept bsod crashing, black screen that kind of thing. After I upgrade to windows 8, problem still exist.
When I just on the computer, it could be that it just could not be able to detect the graphic card and nothing would display on the screen. Maybe after some trying it'll on again.
But sometimes, when it's on it could just poweroff automatically as though power is lost and it goes into 'off' mode and then it'll start again when it 'detect' power or something along this line.
And sometimes, when I just started the computer and perhaps I on a game like l4d2, tada it'll hang and become unresponsive which made me have no choice but to force restart. (It's definitely not a conflict with the game because it would have the same outcome when I just on chrome or something like that)
Pretty shag (X_x)><(x_X)
For this year I decided to upgrade it to windows 8 which was provided by the sales guy that sold my family the desktop for free.
I believe at my end I did update the graphic card and network driver.
BIOS A03 at the moment. Not that good with windows 8, still learning, any advice?
