Perhaps because the entire scheme is to allow the funds to go into the schools' hands, rather than individual needy families' hands ?

Same as hawker centres and coffee shops, etc. where grants go into the operators' hands instead of individual hawkers.

Or Skillsfuture, where the operator receive grants for courses which not many are interested in compared to the Computer Courses e.g Python/Murex/PMP or ACCA/CFA/CPA, CSCA/ACAMS and Engineering Courses, etc.

yes..

school collect subsidy from govt monthly as long as the child is with the school.
school collect fees from parents. school fees, class photo, end year concert, monthly excursions....

i see the year end concert.... so many children... i counted 3 million dollar annual revenue if just count monthly fees + subsidy + year-end concert signup.. haven't count the rest.

I like him. He looks like a Raffles boy.
According to Linkedin, he is.

Btw just curious, how do you technically define as "Look Like" a Raffles Boy?

At first, thought he will be similar to Gerald Giam in terms of their respective 1st regin inside parliament given their similarities in background.

Both got experience in Stat-Boards, etc. (KT interned at EDB, but ok la few months only) and background is in tech before eventually having their own start-ups.

But KT's eloquence for a 1st-time MP really not bad liao, perhaps maybe even slightly better than Gerald Giam in 2011 when he became NCMP for the 1st time back then.

U tell him to put on the uniform then you see again. He looks way more studious than GG.

his view is very reasonable. school or hawker are after all, about business. why fund a private entity but not the people?

Yes, this perhaps reminds me a bit of the cronyism happening in the hawkers' scene and the skills future project.

Machiam like benefit own kaki, like that.

Interesting during the GE, he flew under te radar compared to Harpreet, Alexis, Michael and Eileen. Even Ong Lue Ping and Jackson Au/Alia Mattar, etc. got more attention than him.
He really exceeded everyone's expectations so far.

Telling gahment to fund the child not the school... is like telling gahment to fund the GRC/SMC instead of PA for community social programs...

How many of these pre-school operators are GLCs or run by PAP grassroots leaders/supporters...

Very good speech, hope he target the SEHC soon. They are pro-operator also. Lousy system by NEA ministers

I think because he was in Aljunied. Aljunied is not anticipated to be closely contested zone.
