Right, thank for advice, currently going to research do all REITS portfolio to aim 6-7%. In the future may diversify into blue chips

Follow Warren Buffet's style. If the company has solid business fundamentals and is in a business that will continue to be in business for the next 10-20 years, can buy can hold.

As for dividend yields, start with the companies you know of, go to Yahoo Finance and check their year on year dividend yield rates.

Anything less than 4% you can don't consider.

Look around. I'm using SCB. You might wanna try interactive brokerage.
There are many options now. Take your time.

Hk has it's own tax, different from US ones.
It's 0% unless it's China domiciled.

https://investmentmoats.com/money-management/guide-dividend-withholding-tax-interest/

e.g.
IWDA is domiciled in Ireland, when the dividends from the US stock is paid to the fund, there is 15% withholding tax. Withholding tax on dividends in China is 10% and withholding tax on dividends in Germany is 25%.

Typical dividend withholding tax for United States domiciled companies is 30%, so why is the withholding tax only 15%?

This is because there is a dual taxation treaty between United States and Ireland.

Thus on US, they only withheld 15% of the dividends for taxes.

Yes.
Even if they do pay dividends, CD sign is only there when their distribution is coming. Say in 1 month or 2 month's time.

The same bank account which you use to fund the purchase.

For example,

mine will be DBS, though I use CIMB brokerage to buy the stock, the money use to fund that purchase is from my DBS account. CDP is linked to this bank account.

How to read this?

MAPLETREE INDUSTRIAL TRUST just declared the below dividends with 3 cash options:

Declared Rate: SGD 0.0272 per security/unit
Cash Option 001: SGD (Default Option)
Tax Rate: 17%

Cash Option 002: SGD
Tax Rate: 10%

Cash Option 003: SGD

How do I interpret the above? I just bought the shares using DBS Vickers linked to my multiplier account. How do I choose which option ?

Simply ignore the options. Not for small fries like us. Post your enquiry in mapletree thread or dbsv thread to get a better response
