Hi...moi ish currently serving NS after my A levels, one thing i want to know is all your opinions on moi uni courses. So far, looking at NUS FASS and NTU SBS. NTU actually offered me Double Major in Bio Sci and Biomed Materials...

Personally, I am okay with doing research and I find myself quite adept at bio even tho i only took h1 bio in jc...I got gp A tho and I am also somewhat interested in Political Science and studying interactions between govts/history.

NOW my heart is really torn apart between NUS FASS and NTU SBS. HELP MOI

What are the pros and cons of each of this choices??

Hi I'm a SBS yr1 going yr2 student taking the 2nd major structural bio. 1st, are u sure u know what u r getting yrself into? Do u know what is yr second major about? Is this what u want to study? These are things some of my coursemate failed to find out b4 enrolling to the course I'm studying.

If u are looking into biomaterial, yr course will include modules from MAE(material engineering) & there are physics & engineering modules. Are u ready/ok with those modules? I'll advise u to read the modules that I have to take to decide.

The 2nd majors offered in SBS w the exception of psychology is suppose to gear u for research. Is this what u really want? I've friends w no background in bio & friends who have been studying bio & thought they are interested in research. So we took a research attachment this break & so far, some of them felt that it was torture while others find it fulfilling. If u ORD early, I'll recommend you to source a research internship to know if it's something you really want. (IBN Astar, actually takes in interns that have no experience from sec3 onwards, that's how I experience & realise that I like research)

I can't say anything about political science coz live always been a science person. But think about the style of work u are interested in & which degree will give u a better chance for that. U can also think about what jobs u will do once u graduate with the degrees u are contemplating about.
