Alor Setar to Kangar

May I know is there any regular services between the 2 towns? Plan to go Kedah Alor Seter, than to Perlis Kangar. Finally from Kangar to Kuala Perlis. Any bus services from Kangar to Kuala Perlis too?

These 3 towns are well-connected by regular buses and taxis. Between Kangar to Kuala Perlis is only 30min' drive. There are local buses. Don't worry.

How much is the taxis between each town?

The inter-state or long distance taxi fare is pretty much fixed and you have to go to the main taxi terminal for that, and not hail one off the street. Between Kangar and Kuala Perlis, it is a local taxi and you have to negotiate your fare with the driver.

There are buses from AS shahab perdana bus terminal to Kangar, transnasional or HBR.

Thk beanstalk6 n suangern... planning to go on wed nite 7th aug ph eve. Jb to KP to Langkawi. Spend 1 day at Langkawi.... then to kangar for 1 nite. Then to AS for 1 day n nite n bk to sg by nite bus on sat 10 .

Ya. .. initially tot of flying but xpensive when I 1st ask u...now > 700 from sg n > 400 return.... too xpensive...so just take a leisure visit to visit L n at the same time drop by K KP n AS since they r arround there. ...nxt round I will stay longer at L n fly there with early booking....max these 2 ph n weekend....

AS is not easy to get around without private transport, Shahab Perdana is located out of downtown.

Aug 8 is hari raya, so many Malays will balik kampung during that period, jam in highway, so it will take more than 12 hours.

Besides, tickets may be an issue. Note that you need a ferry ride to Langkawi.

Thk for reminding me of the jam. Will I beat the traffic jam if I travel back on sat night 10/8 and back on early sunday morning.
