You kind of flew off the rails with this sentence. Disability Income Insurance (DII) sold in Singapore isn't designed for short-term disability. CI, ECI, PA, TPD, PPD, ElderShield, and "hospital cash" policies and riders are better designed for short-term disability (albeit with their own shortcomings) and not designed well for medium-term and long-term disability.
