  • Some older condos face financial strain due to ageing infrastructure, inadequate sinking funds, and low resident participation in management.
  • BCA is reviewing the Building Maintenance and Strata Management Act to better enable management corporation strata titles (MCSTs) to upgrade their developments.
  • Some home owners suggest mandatory training for council members, government-backed loans, and clearer rules for maintenance versus improvement works.
They learnt well from this government … to call to socialise their costs.

the TLDR this time very good..
this reporter is good.

yes. all on point and I agreed wholeheartedly especially Council Members need to go for training to prepare for their respective job scope. A few hundred millions inside account... but the council members donno qualified to handled or not ..
Also the part where MA have the expertise to guide councils but always overturned, really LOL!

this is capitalism.

what are these condo expecting? govt backed loan? whats next? govt susbsidy lift replacement? they want sers too?

if owner find the condo old, then just sell it, be it at a loss or profit.

now govt is allowing HDB owners to die with the decay lease, what kind of umbrage will the govt create if they are going to help these rich owners.

Gahment more likely to bend over for higher ses stay in condos because they bring in more taxes

didnt Lw his ge rally mentioned about private estate lose value if voted oppos…

this is sinkapore, always have silent discrimination favoring big money!

Just sell the old condo and move to the newer one whenever this happens, where got headache.

Many people in Hdb also do the same thing, sell the old Hdb when old, and move to the newer one. Confirm no headache.

Last when I young, I see my friend every few yrs move house, I thought got wat reason. Now then I know move house so that no need to deal with house getting old, then care whether Hdb or condo
Not easy to find Robert to pay high price for old condo...
