For now, I'm using the built-in printer accounting on the FujiXerox P355d. It works but kind of cumbersome to manage especially when I can't be on-site all the time.
Just wondering if there exists such a free software haha. But I guess not... Thanks anyway!
I just thumb through the PDF manual of the machine and it appears that the settings including accounting settings are controlled through web interface. If you are micromanaging the printer, why not consider a PC server that is accessible out of office through VPN or remote desktop? Will be able to configure the printer remotely by logging into server and using a browser there
There is a print management software by Fuki Xerox to managed
printers however such software is paid one and can only reside
within your coy intranet/network only.
If you intend to monitor your coy printer from outside, I do not have any answers since I do not know how is your coy network setup and is there any VPN client been used.
If you are interested in such software, you have to talk to your IT manager than discuss with sales person from Fuji about this.
However if your environment is home than you can access through web interface by the assigned IP address.
This also applies if your printer is not managed by a print server but of cuz web interface management is not centralized and very troubleshoot since you have to one by one monitor and configure each printer.
