In Cebu, there are a lot of people who look like chinese although their chinese is about 1%. Is it the same in Manila? Do the chinese there recognise that they have chinese roots?

Don't know if they trace their roots back to china but same for chinese in sg nowadays still got trace back to china? Only know there are more hokkien ppl here they call fook ken

No prob at shang got many security carry shotguns outside so you will feel safe,nearby got shopping malls and its crowded and safe also i go there sometimes on weekend walk walk look look

Call it out and if they still dont improve then escalate lo no choice

This time should be at least 3 times.

You should be ok,its good to manage expectations and you should feel better when you are actually here

i been to manila a few times for work related.
Generally the people are really nice there. Compare to those who come to SG and play Dota2.

not sure but internet don't work there. We have a few connections but it is really bad. This morning I saw it has the guaranteed uptime as 80%. In Singapore irrc it 99.99%

Metro Manila area is okay one la. Next to Shang have mega mall if you're referring to the Shang at Mandaluyong / pasig.

I'm always staying either HOliday Inn or Crown Hotel.
So at times will go mega mall
Good place to shop i must say
