Already said many times, buy from Amazon US where prices are lower for special items ONLY during black Friday(not sure if it's still valid after Trump's tariff war though). Special items like Asus routers, rare CPUs, Samsung tablets with discount on BF.

Other times, just buy from shopee if you want fast delivery or buy from Taobao or pinduoduo, if you can wait for consolidation and sea shipments.

Amazon Singapore has little to no significant advantage over shopee or Taobao or pinduoduo...🤷

Amazon US is huge, it's like NTUC fairprice in the US but online

US is so big, the nearest NTUC fairprice may be 100km away, so many shop on Amazon for everything

Amazon Prime Day had some stackable vouchers for international orders, with collection times at 12 am and 12 pm. It felt very much like Taobao. Boring marketing programs, but you could still save quite a fair bit.

I bought ~19 items during the Prime Day promo. Some things Amazon still cheaper, like western/ japan branded items, high quality kids toys, some PC parts and electronics.

I have been buying promo gift cards for the last few months, then stack Prime discounts on top of that. Can be cheaper than Taobao for some branded items, and more likely to get the original item instead of fakes if buy directly from the Amazon international store.

I bought some stuff from Amazon Germany through Amazon SG.

Way cheaper than Shopee or Lazada.

Amazon only good for branded things (and books)

They can't compete with Shopee and Taobao for generic low cost made in China stuff

Bad promo on prime day deal, poor customer service. Amazon don't bother about SG anymorE?
I don't know
Is it maybe cos of free shipping so they calculated and just jack up prices ?

Although I notice some items are available only in US and snapped up like hotcakes like in seconds or minutes but never available in Singapore
