Actually, you could just drop it into the document folder (of Kindle drive when you attached to the PC) in windows explorer. Don't need to install calibre. However, if the files comes in other format, not mobi, then you would probably need to install calibre to convert to mobi format.

Not sure if anyone tried converting to azw format by calibre and load to Kindle. I tried to loading an azw format file (not converted by calibre), but Kindle does not recognise it, which was weird as azw/azw3 was supposed to Kindle native format.

i usually send it through email, and turn on wifi to 'receive' the book. lazy to take out the usb cable. :s13::s13:

I'm the opposite, I prefer to use usb, never switch on wifi. Take the opportunity to charge as well. To me it's a waste of batt to switch wifi on, since we don't use it at all. But occasionally i might switch it on... To see if there is anything that gets downloaded - like new ads... :s13::s13:

So where do you find the books, I am curious now... PM me too!!!!

I don't see why it would have issues. I did that once, leaving it charging overnight via local power point using iphone's head. Still working fine.

But since I got it pretty new, I have been connecting it via usb to copy books over to the PW and charging it at the same time...
