Amazon RAM is cheaper or am I missing something?

If u are building a Ryzen system, stay away from Corsair ram. Not all are compatible. Many users have trouble running even with XMP profile.

Just go for it as long as its sold by amazon us/sg and not some sellers that looks like generated names
I got my 32gb ram for $150+ whereas local sellers prices 32gb rams at $200+

any is fine as long certified for Ryzen use, see your motherboard ram list( usually able to find online) or read reviews/buyer review.

I second it. Usually i will get micron E-die or Samsung B-die Rams.
Did come across Hynix B-die and Samsung C-die though.

However, for end users who are not overclocking or tightening their ram timings and simply just one-click on XMP / DOCP, try your best to buy ram kits listed on the motherboard's qvl

Yeah, best to avoid all the rando 3rd party sellers. Stick with Amazon US or Amazon SG listed as the seller. Anything else, not worth the trouble.

AFAIK, CJR is fine, a bit "worse" than DJR. MFR is the crappy cheap hynix IC that most overclockers would avoid but since you are just going to use XMP, ram IC do not really matter that much as long as you get a kit with decent speed and timings for a good price.

Samsung B die is marked EOL and cost a lot more while the B die replacement "A die" is pretty bad since it's still under development right now which is why Micron Rev E is pretty popular right now since you can generally get it for a cheap price and overclocks relatively well. Although as some users have mentioned, manual overclocking past XMP speeds in ryzen can be considered a meme due to the miniscle performance gain (if any).

No wonder I see the Crucial Ballistix 3600mhz CL16 is out of stock now. Must be in high demand.

It is not uncommon for RAM on Amazon to be much cheaper than what we find locally. Which is why most of the RAM that I buy are usually from Amazon. Since RAM is less likely to be faulty, there is little reason to pay the premium for local distro support.

I am using Crucial and Team Group ram currently. Previously I was using Klevv. All 3 works perfectly with Ryzen based on my experience.

But generally I find that it's always stated upfront for me, so never had this issue of only finding out after paying.

Even at the cart, at checkout stage it should show. All this before paying.

Ok, this looks correct to me tho. Clearly states the 3rd party options are from shipped and sold by who. No reason for any surprise.
