AMD 280X and cryptocoin mining

i read somewhere that the reason why 280X are so high in demand is that people can use them for cryptocoin mining. why isit only that card and not 270X or nvidia cards?

ppl choose 280x is coz it is cheap and can recuperate the losses at a minimal rate.

Startup costs r lower as well.

same but so far not having any real $ but at least got some doge coin and litecoin to trade with

cause of last month's gst u save discount on the electricity bill i am not sure how much electricity it will cost

my old card gt560ti used to take 1.012 v on load

this card takes 1.163 v on load its a gigabye wind force r9 280x

i manage to down volt down to 1.049 v still not the same voltage as the old card but oh well not that much higher in terms of electricity usage.

down volt it didn't affect the speed it hashes at still 718-735 khs then when I got it but it helped the temperature alot.
