Amd catalyst switching problem

Hi guys, im using a samsung series 3, i3 3120m with 8750m graphics. when i right click the catalyst logo at bottom right system tray, it only show 1. hd 4000 and the various anti liasing etc option but nothing about 8750m is being shown

when i monitor using catalyst on some game programmes when i open it, it does show on "power performance"

when in usual surfing net, i use cpu z can only see hd4000, when i open games and alt tab to open cpu z, i can see hd4000 and can also see one raedon graphics card but nothing about the model or anything is stated.


is this right? or do i have a switching issue?

What model is your laptop and is your catalyst the latest version
from the vendor?
AMD switching technology isn't that good as Nvidia Optimus.
In the Catalyst control panel, there is a page where you
need to set the profile for individual programs.
Like say, MS words set it to power saving so it use
the intergraded graphics.
Performance it will use the radeon 8 card.
Using CPU-Z to see the graphic card isn't that accurate
as like I mention.
The switching is based on programs, if you want to
the radeon 8 graphic on CPU-Z than you need to create a profile
for CPU-Z and set it to performance mode so you can see it.
