I guess someone will say this is not as dirty as politics...

This page is going to show you the anti-competitive shenanigans that each major vendor commits against the free market. If you're deciding on a brand purely on performance, you've got an equal chance of landing on all three... however: if you're going by ethics, it's a different story. Supporting the companies that are the healthiest for a certain market will in-return make that market healthier. Supporting one that's harmful and anti-competitive? Well, you may not have a chance to even obtain components the next time around due to the market being more locked down and closed to competition. Take a look!

Lol we all know they have been doing these for years.

The problem with AMD is they didn't seem intrested in coming out new products....

Just take a look at 290 series. How long has it been? Nvidia came out with the 900 series
and TitanX.

We are still waiting for R300 series. The mistake AMD made is not coming out with something to act as a place holder between the R290 to R300 series, resulting ppl getting Nvidia cards due to them been "newer".

Yes, the shady dealings are crap, but what have the board hire or done about it?

AMD made themselves look stupid with the TL bug. AMD shot themselves in the foot with Bulldozer. Blaming Intel is not going to make AMD supporters (and AMD's marketing department) look any more intelligent.

I seriously got a bad feeling on their launch day for their 390x.

Then why didn't AMD actively promote to developers to choose their own Open64 compiler instead?

it's another issue altogether. All the R&D in the world would not remove the sabotage. AMD cards would still perform poorly on certain 'Nvidia' games, even if they come out with the newest products possible.

Only solution is to go to court to stop this anti-competitive practice, as they've done with intel.

Ok, if AMD can go to court with Intel, they can go to court with Nvidia as well right...?

Oh and meanwhile, there is something called AMD Gaming Evolved...

----------------------------------------

AMD isn't doing itself favours with their rebranding exercises, a practice that the Evil Nvidia does as well. Except that AMD is arguably worse with what they did with the OEM HD 8XXX and 3XX (not even the Evil Nvidia stoop to that level). Even their rebranding for retail 2XX and 3XX is leaving a bad taste in my mouth...

Simply put, if AMD doesn't want to lose the mind share among technology geeks who aren't fanboys and zealots, they should stop doing stupid things that make people facepalm...

Disclosure: former AMD PII user. I actually favour ATI/AMD GPUs due to compatibility with the old TW games, unlike the problems some Nvidia cards have.

yes, but there's no sign amd will do tat. maybe company isn't doing well and they have better things to do.

as for rebranding, at least they don't lie about it, unlike their competitor.
