AMD CPU for gaming rig?

Depend on what game you want to play, if you wanna play
newer games like bf4 than go for Intel instead of AMD.
Cuz like what other said, AMD is actually more for budget
people especially their apu with intergraded radeon graphics.


But since AMD price is much higher here than US, Intel is still
the better choice.

The good thing is whenever I need to upgrade to new gen cpu I dun have to get a new mobo again.

So once and for all I get the top end mobo and update the bios for it to be compatible will do.

Intel chipset look really compelling especially those new Z87 mobo. Look at the amount of SATA 3, on board sound and PCIE 3 slots. But does current gen gpu actually able to saturate PCIE 2 yet?
Do u need that many sata 3 port? Only u can ans them.

As for ppl who said that it consumes more power. Yes I totally agree. Ask them to calculate for u how much can u save per year? And how much more expensive is the intel cpu that has similar performance going to cost u, that price difference u can calculate how many years u can run on an amd cpu in order to break even with that same class intel cpu.

I'm currently using FX8320 over clocked to 4.5GHz. Running simulation and can play games with no problem at all.

haha yah I thought about that too, but I would like to learn this as next time I could be handy in this sort of field, so instead of asking him I will research and ask around from here
