Is AMD sticker really needed for CPU return?
I've tossed my sticker after setting up my rig

https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/w... of a Return, was packaged with your processor.

How to Obtain Warranty Service
To obtain warranty service for your AMD Processor in a Box, contact your computer system manufacturer or distributor during the systems warranty period. After your computer system warranty has expired, you can submit a warranty request to AMD Customer Care. To submit a warranty claim visit *http://support.amd.com/en-us/warranty.

Please be prepared to provide: (1) your name, address, and telephone numbers; (2) proof of purchase; (3) a description of the type of boxed processor; (4) the serial number found on your boxed processor and; (5) a description of the computer system including the brand and model; (6) an explanation of the problem; and (7) your election to accept return of the processor to you, at your cost, if AMD determines the processor is not covered by the limited warranty or to consent to AMD’s destruction of the part. The AMD Customer Care Representative may need additional information from you depending on the nature of the problem and all requested information must be provided before AMD will process any RMA request.

Upon receipt of a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number from a Customer Care Center Representative, you will be required to send in your processor. If requested by AMD, you will also be required to send in the heatsink/fan that was packaged with your processor. The packaging materials themselves will not be required to process your RMA. If AMD, in its sole discretion, determines that the processor is not covered by the AMD limited warranty, AMD will return or destroy the processor pursuant to your election.

Above is for boxed CPU

AMD probably detected that the buyer wasn't sold a boxed CPU. In fact at this point the buyer might have been sold a fake CPU for all we know.

Returns =/= RMA. Also I'm pretty sure AMD cpus got international warranty so that story is weird that AMD doesnt want anything to do with you.

I would do a CC charge back since both unhelpful, ask the bank for help

Shoppee return is not AMD RMA

Your disagreement is with the seller on the shoppee storefront.

Confirmation that AMD does have international warranty.

This does not gel with OP's claim that AMD rejected his RMA because the CPU is not from the Singapore market. Something does not seem right here ....

Quote "Desperate for assistance, I raised a Service Request ticket with AMD with regard to the issue I faced, attempting to get assistance for repair or replacement directly from AMD, but they informed me that the product I have purchased was not supposed to be sold in Singapore to begin with, and hence there will be no warranty coverage, that we can only approach our supplier for rectification. to be fair, i think amd reject his claim cos his issue was with bent pins, which is not covered under warranty. but rejecting on the grounds that the product is not supposed to be in sg is a bit strange...

Is there a chance that the chip was removed from a bundle kit, and thus isn't valid for usual international warranty?

Quite weird. I RMAed my US set R5 3600 with AMD and had no issues whatsoever. Though I did buy the boxed set from a large retailer.

Also I remember AMD actually RMAed for one of the guys here with bent pins.

OP's set is probably one of those sold in China with unknown origin, and probably no warranty. Apparently AMD does not RMA for China sets for some reason.

There are cpus sold as OEMs for prebuilts, those are sold without boxes and are sold in bulk. If yours came in a ryzen amd gray and orange box, it's a retail stock.

lol people actually believe is seller fault. the pins direction so obvious is due mishandling.

if manufacturing defect, is 1 pin 1 pin slanted.
if damage during transit, is 1 area.
Corner 1, cfm+chop is mishandling

The packing for the cpu is kinda different from a real Ryzen package. Could that have attributed to the bent pins?

Most people were siding with the buyer on reddit, I knew something was fishy.
