AMD demo Freesync. no hardware requisite?

Weird thing is, why didn't anyone implement this before? I thought most modern monitors are already compliant.

i think both companies know about it, just that never implement. here a thread from 2010 lol and it is a nvidia card

[SOLVED] sync to vblank question / nvidia

so i am thinking that maybe amd see nvidia chut stunt (g sync), then they not happy. to prevent people from going to g sync and buying new g sync monitor, they come up with something free: freesync:s13::s13:

I only see two windmills turning... what the heck does it do?

watch carefully, the left one is abit jerky while the right one is very smooth. the right one is with free sync turned on.

So at any time they can actually enable it in their drivers? If it is true, g sync loses value liao
