AMD FX 8150 VS Intel i5 (generally)

Hi guys, my cpu is down and i need a new motherboard and processor. I am looking at the AMD FX 8150 and some intel i5. Budget is a problem for me as I am still a nsf. My main usage of my computer will be doing some 3d modelling and rendering. Gaming wise i don't game too much, maybe just dota2. So i was hoping that experts like you people can give me some advice.

Also which mobo do you guys recommend?

AMD - FX-8150 has been superseded by FX-8350 since quite a few months ago

Intel - Haswell is due next month, totally new LGA1150 socket
