yes its very expensive but that chip was super well binned, based on Mac's preview hehe... but at least its still much cheaper than intel's extreme edition cpu.

If everyone thinks that way then just let amd fall into bankruptcy. End up all of us is gonna buy over priced cpu from intel and intel will be reluctant to improve on every generation of cpu.

Yes their top end cpu is much lower but is it good enough for most end users? Probably yes..

IF you are talking about overpriced CPUs, I would say this FX9590 is way overpriced for the performance it offers.

I have no problems with their FX8xxx and APU (I used to have 6800K and still have a 5800K myself). I am also looking for their Kaveri, I am AMD graphics fan.

Read this review.. FX-9590 is middle of the road in pretty much everything, except for power consumption Supposedly well-binned FX-8350's can even be overclocked to almost 9590 levels.

I like AMD as well (have an AMD Richland rig) but what exactly is the point of this again? Lose to 4770k in almost everything?

And 4770K cost something like 1/2 the price???

Thats why I did mentioned a couple of months ago that this CPU don't make any sense. Hand picked CPUs oc to 5GHz and sell at astronomical price thats out of reach to most of us. Whats the point?

Might as well get 4770K and oc to 4.5GHz and beat the crap out of 9590 in everything (9590 can try to oc.....).

If AMD cannot beat Intel in high end it doesn't matter. I love the APUs very much and is waiting for Kaveri to come (confirm going to hoot). Its cheap and good and does everything I want it to and more....

Interestingly the document also made it clears the days of the big core are numbered, leaving the FX-9590 as the final legacy of the FX line.
