Wow the 390X actually trades blows pretty well with the GTX980

I knew it. The 390x definitely trade blows with the GTX980 after the rebadge. As i know that definitely the slight change in bined and clocked speed, it should be even nearer to the 980.

Slightly slower in some benchmarks but not too far off at most 1-2% difference.

But the pricing is still far cheaper than 980. Guess it is a good conclusion.

Yup. I was expecting that from the initial impressions already that's why I was curious about 390X CFX performance, because it has whooping 8GB VRAM asset there.

Now we need to see the local pricing of 390X vs GTX970. If pricing is right 390X will be displacing the worth of the 970 and 980 (after price reduction).

Hmmmmm power draw isn't insane. I'm surprised. But yeah. the 980Ti just got owned. Better drop price liao. Those who got the 980 Ti on launch must be fuming now. Beats it even on the Nvida optimised games like Batman.

344W can be handled by my Asrock M8's PSU. (but no space for the rad)

Its normal.

If you see most benchmarks for 4k, it has to tone down a few settings. Not because of vram, but a playable frame rate between 40-60fps target.


Its easy to see if it chokes. If it chokes, most game you see there with or without AA it will have mostly the same frame rate across all the games such as 30fps.
