>>Rebadge and overclock the 290X a bit until it can barely overclock any more, with higher power consumption
>>Add another 4GB which it won't touch except in 4K scenarios where it already chokes so bad that having extra RAM won't matter
>>Name it 390X and sell it for significantly higher price
>>"It's a winner!"
Really?

I think a single card situation it is clear that a single r9 390X or a 980 would be good for 1440p. Or if people wanna play fast action games like FPS type can opt for 390x with a 1080p display.
And for those whom wanna go for 1080p but do not play fast action games can opt for a 970.
Just wait for Fury. ITs the REAL DEAL.........300 series is a waste of time.
Believe 380 is to compete against 960, 370 and below to compete with 750/TiPointless review then. Should compare similar league cards
Dont think amd gonna come out anymore new cards unless new architecture...? Makes basically no sense hmm...So put it this way.
380/390 vs GTX970
390X/Fury vs GTX980
Fury/FuryX vs GTX980ti
FuryX/X2 vs TX
Will be interesting to see where Nano stands.
And in before AMD will release more 300 cards... 380X, 385 etc.

the GTX 980's TDP is ~185W...... not a big diff....I think Nano will be GTX980. Depending on price it will really be an awesome care..... 175W and GTX980 performance......
just much smaller.Got any GTX 750Ti competitor?
But I am not really keen on Radeon.
I had Radeons and Nvidia Cards.
Radeon Card Casualty 100% Nvidia 0%
