I think the main difference between this 120hz panel and 144hz panel specifically for this legion 5 is the colour gamut not really the response time.

Colour gamut for 120hz is pretty bad for video editing or photo editing, but should still be relatively ok if you are normal user (don't quote me for this!).

Finally arrived on 10 Nov. It was supposed to arrive one day earlier but UPS said Lenovo never gave my home unit address to them so they had to call me to deliver on the next day.

Better late then never.

The construction is beautiful. And yes, it is lightning fast!

I ordered on 10 Oct and it stated expeted date was 07 Jan 2021, but instead I got in on 10 Nov-- exactly 1 month. :s12:

恭喜恭喜 on receiving your new laptop! This thread really got good discount code! Better than Lazada or shopee. :D

Bought Ideapad Slim 5-14 (AMD) - 4500u/8gb/512gb at $644. Hope can last me for few years. My dell inspiron 11 3000 bought in 2016 still surviving somehow. lol

Anyway, does anyone know should i change the wifi card to intel ax200, will Lenovo bios detect and whitelist it? I see the reviews for the wifi card used is quite cui.

Also, i noticed in a teardown YT video that there is an empty slot just above the 2280 nvme slot, based on the screw mounting hole. Can someone confirm if can put another nvme ssd? If can, i wan go find cheap 2242 nvme ssd - 1tb or more.

Thanks.

The discount code is really useful. As a matter of fact, I went to Funan 2 weeks ago and checked. The exact same model and specs is selling for $1699 or $1799.

I only got it for $1119.20 from the lenovo online store. :s12: But of course must wait for a month.

The construction is top notch. Very similar to Apple macbook.

I changed the wifi card of my Thinkbook 14 bought at the turn of the year to an AX200 bought on Lazada and I didn't face any issue. No idea if you will face any issue but I supposed you can try since it's just $20+?

May I know which promo code you use? I can't get this price.

May I know if they states where the unit is shipped out from? As in from SG or China?
Cause I read a review online when they open their CTO, it seems like they just remove and replace the upgraded components into a ready unit instead of building from scratch. They were badly fixed in. I am now worried for mine.
TIA

I changed the wifi card because I changed my router to the Asus AX88U. Besides, how does it relate to the whitelist, which, in my experience, would have meant a non-functioning wifi card in the first place?
