Screen is not bad. Too bad on the 8gb ram limit but for very basic usage, it should be ok.

Customary for my whenever i receive a laptop is to open it and take a look at its internals. Wonder if it will be able to run 2242 and 2280 ssds together.

One thing i noticed in Lenovo Vantage is that for the warranty, it started from the day it was shipped out. meaning i 'lost' 13 days or so due to shipping.

So far, my 4 yr old Dell Inspiron 11 3000 laptop still running well with a 500gb ssd. So i believe this one will be the same as well.

On a side note, i saw a 2242 slot above the 2280. You know if it can run both 2242 and 2280 ssds at the same time? Was thinking to get 2242 500gb for OS and then 2280 for storage, maybe 1tb in the future... Also, i think both are nvme slots since the 2280 can fit into the 2242 socket nicely. I rmb there is a small difference for sata and nvme ssd in terms of socket design.

For Yoga Slim 7 AMD series, one can add a second ssd (NVME) into the 2242 slot. The video below shows it is possible.

The thing is 2242 M.2 SSD is quite rare here. Almost all hardware shops sell only 2280 SSD.

Hey guys, quick advice pls.

I'm looking at the customized legion 5 with 2060.

Any particular reason to get the best HDD on the customisation? I can upgrade myself which is cheaper? Any issue if I choose dummy HDD for the first drive?

Appreciate any advice, thanks!

Er... I got my Legion 5 2 Sundays ago. Wasn't expecting it though...
Oh that's interesting. My laptop landed on Sunday but they told me they do not deliver on Sunday.

Yes, it starts from the day it leaves the factory. Shipping delays are costly in this way.

Just make sure they are compatible. For the T14s, I need B or B+M key 2242 NVMe drives, not SATA. They are available, just not so commonplace.

For the Legion 5, you can upgrade the RAM and HDD on your own. Unless the discounts are really good, I would just go with the cheapest options and upgrade them on my own since you can probably get cheaper options elsewhere.

Note the battery capacity when you toggle between Dummy HDD and any SSD. IIRC the HDD/Dummy HDD slot takes up the space that would be needed for the extended battery (60 vs 80Wh)

The warranty date will auto update to reflect the actual delivery date after a few business days it's reflected as delivered in UPS system.

I also notice you can select the date when you register the warranty under your name at Lenovo warranty page and it will update accordingly as well. I'm not sure if it's valid but it might be useful for user who don't start using immediately or reseller.

Hey guys, in the Legion customisation menu, there is a USB RGB Gaming Mouse for $20, anyone knows which model is that?

Good price! Trying to get around the same price for same specs but stuck in the cart at $1492.50. No ecoupon to apply but there's a shopback ecoupon which will save a further $149.25. Any better ecoupon to apply?

Just ordered Thninkpad T14 at $1,181. Worth it?
