Seek your opinion guys, is Yoga C740 or Ideapad Flex 5i (14) better? Their price is almost the same

You might need to share configurations to compare both more equally, but iirc the Ideapad has the option for better graphics whereas the flex does not. Also, what are you really looking out for - what do you really want from a laptop?

From history, I know a lot of Ideapads fail very quickly - a lot of them across many generations have webcam failure issues. Even if you look across Carousell, it seems to be very prevalent. It does speak of the QC level of the Ideapad at the component level somehow. it is targeted at the masses.

In terms of visual and tactile comparisons, while subjective, I prefer the look and feel of the Yoga much more. Battery life of the Yoga is theoretically better since it's a 4-cell vs a 3-cell.

As for the Ideapad Flex, why not consider the AMD options? You get better performance and bang for buck as compared to the Intel versions. (This is , after all, an AMD Ryzen thread that you just asked for opinions on 2 Intel machines in. :s13: )

Hmm weird, maybe email their CS tmr and ask 😅

Yeah they changed it. Probably oos, so they give some old unsold Star Wars VR crap (2017 craze that didn’t sell). You can see in Carousell a lot of people suddenly get them and selling them off $20-30.

Rather get a laptop stand and casing.

Great purchase!

It should shorten, but wow June is a rather long wait. Mine was slated for End-Mar and arrived in 10 days. :s13:

Sounds like a good deal. Not sure whether to get this T14s with similar specs or the Huawei Matebook 14 AMD which will be ready for pre-order this Sat.

Hi,you have emailed them?

Yup that’s their reply. They say they change the freebie to the unsold Star Wars vr leftover.

Also, it’s not Lenovo directly. The freebie is from vendor so you have to email them instead of Lenovo.

Good to know, I was worried my order can drag to cny long holiday.

Depends on what laptop as they ship from different factories. Some recent mentions here suggest that the Legion tends to take longer to ship. They come from within China.

So far in recent user sharings, their business series laptops (mostly T14/s CTO buyers in recent weeks) ship quite quickly from Hong Kong.
