Anyone using ThinkPad X13 Gen 1 having issues charging from a Xiaomi power bank? The power bank supports PD but whenever I charge my laptop with it my laptop becomes a bit sot, will hang here and there. But when I use an Aukey power bank it works fine lol.

just added 2TB NVMe SSD as second drive, 16gb 3200mhz ram (to make it 24gb)

and replaced the killer ax1650 to intel ax210 wifi6e network card.

i think killer card cannot make it lol
Hi , is this possible to upgrade to 32GB ram for the slim 7?

Is the power bank rated to charge laptop in the first place?

To charge a laptop, it must be rated at least 65W Power Delivery. Any lower and it will be almost impossible to charge a laptop. It may be the other way round; the laptop is charging the power bank instead.

Based on last year indication of supply chain's issues, at 2:20 he gauged October earliest with better availability in December.

I feel the trend is mostly the same over the last 2 years. AMD will announce new APUs for laptops in Q1. Q2 we see products using the APU trickling out. Supply then improves in Q3 onwards. Perhaps given the declining demand for PCs, we may see the situation improve this year.

It's 45w. It charges fine, but makes my laptop sot sot (misses keystrokes etc). No issue when using a smaller 30w or even 18w PD charger. The Xiaomi power bank charges my other laptops fine though without any sot sot issues.

Your laptop can be charged using a 18 PD charger?

I think it is possible if the machine is not in use. Like my current Lenovo laptop requires a minimal 65W PD charger to supply power when in use. If lower, it will only charge when the machine is not in use.

unless u got the option for 16gb soldered onboard + 1 empty slot

mine is the 8gb onboard, so can only add 16gb make it 24gb
Ah, I got confused with the Slim 7 Pro. So it is partially soldered. So the options are, (1) +16GB for a total of 24GB, or, (2) +32GB for a total of 40GB. Personally, I don't like a ram config where the ram capacity is not the same. You get more RAM for sure, but I don't think it runs in parallel despite showing as dual channel. My understanding is that if the capacity of the RAM is not the same in the 2 slots, data is usually written from the RAM with the higher capacity first, then moved to the smaller capacity stick. So there will be a performance penalty. Unless you die die must have more RAM, then there's no choice since it is better than running low on RAM.

Technically possible but very slow.

I only have issues with 2 chargers: the 18w mi power bank 3 and the 45w mi power bank 3 pro. I'm not talking about charging but rather when it plugs into my laptop, my laptop starts missing keystrokes, hanging, etc.

Just find it strange that a charger can affect my laptop in such a manner.

No issue with zmi and Aukey power banks
