Another update.

Lenovo has credited me an extra $71 discount for my thinkbook16 after they cancelled my 2 earlier Thinkbook 14p orders. So my thinkbook 16 costs me a total of $1345.
That's a very good price for the specs you got. This is without extended warranty I believe?

Coming from a Custom PC, thinking to get a laptop to pair with monitor etc(basically act as CPU)
Any recommendation for future proof(5yrs?) / customizable (Can slot in SSD/ram etc?) ?
Light gaming (CS , Dota , mostly FPS) , surfing net / youtube / Drama etc.

No extended warranty.

I am happy with the price but will prefer the 6800H processor rather than the 6800U processor.

yes, just take note of the ssd size, not sure if 2242 or 2280, best to read user manual

which one did you get eventually?
I bought the v14 in the end. While the shopping platform CS said cant upgrade ram, the laptop seem to have an empty slot. So will wait for good price to buy 8gb ram... or maybe go carousell and find

Just sharing... Best Denki and Courts seem to be selling the X13 Gen 2 for just $999. i5-1135G7, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD. Seems like a pretty good deal

For those interested, can apply the box26 for additional 100 bucks discount.....I bought it for 899 which to me is a very good deal! .... processor might not be that great but the rest of the spec and price makes it worth it for one that needs a laptop.

Yeah. Very gian to get it too coming from an X13 Gen 1 (wanting to get 1920x1200 screen) but I guess my 4750u should be better performing?

When you get it are you able to check if the model you got has the 41wh or 57wh battery? Can't seem to find this information online.

same era processor but 4750U has more Core and so, in a way, performs better in multi task situation. if yours is a 4750U, no point getting this. also, dun think the battery is the 57Wh one. Will update. My requirement not high as not doing intensive stuff and this fits my budget.

I have an i7 X13 Gen 2 alongside a 4750U T14 (my parents').

The X13 throttles more aggressively and quickly than the T14. Pretty disappointed if I have to do more CPU intensive work. But that 1920x1200 screen is better.

Thanks. Yeah I *think* its the 41Wh version also cos I don't see Intel Evo being advertised and based on psref, only the 54.7Wh version has the Intel Evo certification.

Would be curious to know though.
