Competition have not come out with new CPUs (new socket and new board) yet, competitor's current generation CPUs needs to be re-benchmark with the competitor's "Default Profile" first before doing any performance comparison. So the only wording that can be used currently is "16% better than Zen 4 at lower TDP" (Almost similar clock speed but lower TDP).
So far the rumors is X3D version of Zen 5 will be coming out around the same time as Arrow Lake.

Should be interesting to see how the higher memory clocks translate to performance gains.

Both AM5 and 1718 last until 2027. Will wait for intel 200 then see which one will replace my aging 11700K lol.

No competition now cos intel 200 haven launch. Once that one is out, amd will reclaim with X3D. Then intel will reclaim with KS.

Every cycle also sama sama.

I thought Intel KS was to hold the crown regarding the highest power consumption.

zen3 to gen 5 IPC improvement is only about ~30%. asusming the gen 5 to zen 6 ipc jump is around ~15%, zen 3 > zen 6 IPC improvement will be ~50%, which will really make it worthwhile to upgrade.
