Ampascend Academy... legitimate?

Hi,

I'm a student at SIM, and just today my friend was approached by a fellow student to attend a business project talk. The girl claims that it will provide training such as soft skills and team building, as well as some money too.

My question is that this sounds too good to be true - a Google search of ampascend led me to another thread about 'WAH academy', and on that thread they mention about having to pay a $3000 fee to join.

Anyone has experience with this particular company? Any comments or advice? I think it's too shady to take part tbh.

Ya, scammy and shady. Their own website is also not working. Better don't touch.
