Asked from a staff working in DoCoMo shop in Japan.
The date for release has been delayed from model to
model. For example, the only models available for update to 5.0 are
currently the s5 and s5 active. We will need to wait on the release to
other models thanks.
Currently there is no way to update these phones while
overseas and without a Docomo sim card as well. This is because all
updates come direct from the Docomo server so their is no other way to
update this outside of this.
Normally from this annoucement, we can expect each item around 1-2
months for the update to be released with makers with international
models such as samsung and sony to be released first.
So for SH-01G users, we will have to wait at least a month to have a 5.0 update; and we won't be receiving it overseas at all.
TLDR: SH-01G users = No Android 5.0 update
