I’m currently using a OnePlus 11, and recently I’ve been hearing a lot of rumours that the OnePlus 16 specifications have already been confirmed. I’m planning to change my phone soon and would like to get some suggestions.

Should I wait for the OnePlus 16, go for the Oppo Find X9 Pro which I’m currently considering, or are there any other phones that you would recommend?

Right now would be a strange time where phones in general will be expensive... Oneplus 16, along with all the other 2027-ish flagship phones will only be released in Oct onwards, and they will most probably be pretty expensive due to the flash memory prices going haywire. What are you looking for in the phone upgrade from Oneplus 11? And when will u be getting the phone?

Don't believe the hype, the OnePlus 15 is decent camera. Everything else is top notch and it's much cheaper than the rest of the pro or ultra flagship.

I used to have OnePlus 15 and now using oppo find x9 ultra.
OnePlus 15 still number 1 to me

agree with anthonygreenisreal, i had oneplus 15 since launch and its still a decent camera, definitely a better overall camera system vs 11, but of course its not gonna win big vs other brands, which Oneplus never was. Every other thing for 15 is a big upgrade, be it CPU(duh), ram (16gb for 512GB), flat screen. For OS, OxygenOS is unbeatable for me with its 2nd cleanest OS besides Pixels (about 6 preinstalled apps but all uninstallable).

TBH waiting to the end of the year to buy a newer model this year might not be recommended due to the flash memory price reason. Right now Oneplus 15 brand new is about $1k for 512gb during shopee platform promotions, with 2 years warrenty by Oppo/Oneplus. Besides camera not being the absolute best, everything else is top notch, even if u compare to this yearend+next year's models. Even Oneplus 16 i believe and predict will not be cheap. Oneplus 15 official preorder price is already 1299 then, 16 i predict will be probably closer to $1500 actually..

Oneplus 15 during sale nowadays can get around $950 to $960 at Shopee.

Yeah if in recent sale period can find the OP15 512gb for below $1k is an awesome hoot already.
Can barely find anything else as good as this around this price range. the lowest I've seen it go is around $920 during sale.

If camera is priority, consider Ultra models from Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo. But quite expensive, not sure what your budget is

if not urgent, and your budget is flexi, take a punt and wait for 1+16 before you decide between that and 1+15. of course, if you choose 1+15, get it before stocks disappear. Also factor in by then, the battery, even when new, will still be 1 year older (if that matters to you)

OnePlus 16 probably will be much more expensive. In fact the recent new phones released, Oppo Find N6 is the last one to be on the lower side of the cost. Subsequent phone releases are much more expensive. Find X9 Ultra, X300 Ultra, V6, Xiaomi 17T series etc, are seen a price hike. So OnePlus 16 probably will be more expensive too. If you just have a budget of around 1K, would suggest just get the current phones prior to N6. You should still be able to get a fairly good deal if you have the 18% Shopee voucher.

i already explained in my post about pricing for 2026-2027 new models, and with your budget of 1k i rather u get 15 brand new now, or x9pro local set second hand if really want a better camera, as its still under warrenty coz it was launched end oct. No point waiting for the new pro/flagship models coz they will not fit in your budget.

i miss my 1+7 pro with the pop-up camera, no notch, not wide boat, no hole punch. regret selling it.

i still hate hole-punch screen.
