recently, i can booth up my box in sec and ready to start any app immediately without the need to
wait for the ubox to booth up. What i did was install a sleep app and make the box sleep. The box sleep and also
power off but when i power on it started in few secs

I wonder if this can also be implement on other iptv box

Do not install too many apps and uninstall the unnecessary apps. Mi Box S should be good enough for normal streaming usages. The popular good boxes all have the same 2GB/8GB configurations.

I read that fire tv cube has more storage. But as you said there is no chrome cast. Should I switch to the cube since I can still side load apk to it?

It depends on your needs. It is configured as 2GB/16GB. It is a bit troublesome to use the Amazon stuff in SIngapore. If you want the best, go for Nvidia Shield TV Pro (3GB/16GB).

You can see that even top of the line good Android TV box is only configured with 16GB storage.

If you are really into big storage, then you may have to consider things like Mecool KM6 (4GB/32GB) without Netflix certification. It is still Google Certified and support Chromecast.

hi all, i'm considering getting a Mecool KM2 but was thinking whether Android boxes are still viable nowadays since a lot of TVs now come preinstalled with Android or Google TV?

Frankly, if you are using an old tv a tv box will enable you to enjoy what a conventional tv wouldn't give you.
however, if you are having a smart tv most of which does have the function of a tv box if you are interested in standard application such as netflix, amazon and etc. however, if you are into some free iptv and vod then the tv box does give u that extra. however, smart tv have it limitation, tv box is built for this purpose and as such you have to weight the extra value against the cost of getting the box

Hi all, my current preloaded tv box is giving me issues alot these past couple of months.
Am thinking of changing a new TV box.
Thinking of getting MiBox S based on the recommendations in this forum plus I'm getting a TV box for the first time.
I'm interested in Netflix and maybe side-load a couple of apps for movies/shows for my parents to watch - is MiBox S good enough or should I go with Mecool?
Appreciate any help.

I'm using the Mi Box S... no problems... fast responsive interface and very easy to use...

I using mibox s for a few year liao still good.

Avoid all Xiaomi China verson boxes in general. Just go for Mi Box S or Mi TV Stick 4k if you like Xiaomi. Or go for the other recommended box with official Android TV OS.

Great!! Was worried if it's lagging as Mibox S was released for a couple of years already.
Since it's still going strong, will go get one.

I have purchased Mibox S and already set it up for my parents to watch.
Pretty easy to setup and to use as well.
The remote is very handy and user friendly.
Managed to sideload some apps without any issue so far....except some movies not able to watch in 1080 and have to make do with 720 instead.
Thanks for the recommendation! 😄
