so far, chrome works quick for me. So does safari, so I am perplexed actually - Might the lags be possibly from weird browsers and / or addons mentioned in this thread being used and if so, then could I implore users to share their browser and version for us to test it out?

Currently what I do know is on my two primary devices, safari on iOS and chrome on android, they work well with and without logging in.

I'm on firefox and it's annoying as hell. Each link loads a white page, which lags for 20s before the page loads properly.

Interestingly we noted that a lot of issues stem from Firefox. Can I trouble you to test if the same problem arises in movie chrome or edge?
