MBA is not known for power, its known for portability.

You want super slim and light, get MBA. You want power, get MBP.

Guys,

In terms of speed, MacBook Pro 13" is how many times faster than MacBook Air 13"?

Which do you recommen? MBA is troublesome need to buy Superdrive and Ethernet cable...

Thanks.

IMO there's little point in getting MBP nowadays. MBA 13" has the same size, much slimmer and lighter as well. In terms of power, they are more or less the same. Even though MBP 13" has a faster clocked processor, MBA 13" uses an i5 that is a generation newer, with more performance per cycle, which makes up for the difference in clock speed, hence, their performance is more or less equal. The lower clock speed also makes it cooler than MBP.

DVD is quite useless nowadays, most stuff are downloaded from internet. Most places would have wifi as well, without a need for ethernet adapter.
