Biggest pitfall, only get those that run over thunderbolt and not the alienware ******** that can only run on proprietary connector

sadly my laptop don't have Thunderbolt 3, only USB-C . same hole different definition.

ya..USB-c not support..
did a market research. $400+ for the case without GPU. while gtx 1060 cost less than the box.
expensive case.

Being USB-C means nothing. The connector can be USB-C but still only support up to USB2 speeds. To add on further, Thunderbolt 3 is backward compatible with USB3.1 but USB3.1 is not forward compatible with TB3.
