He don't really game or do anything much just web and youtube. Do you think it is worth to future proof it till this spec?

i did think about that but the diff is about $60-70 and that one drop half of the cpu spec.. i also thinking of dropping the ram to 4gb will do hmm

Just get i3 with integrated graphics. YouTube even at 4k hd resolution doesn't need a dedicated graphics.

There's not much point in future-proofing for computers imo.

By the time you realise you need something, it is usually at least 1 or 2 years down the road or never at all. By then you can get something newer and much better at the same price, or the same item for a lot less. The depreciation is quite steep.

Unless you already foresee a likely future need within 3 to 6 months.
