Forget it. There is no difference. With a 4790K, you may hit 4.7-4.8GHz but thats about all.

200-300MHz wont do any wonders.

Got diff. You have to change the right of your sign from 4770K to 4790K. Big diff. 9 is bigger than 7 anyway.

if u are already 4.5Ghz stable and temps are good. Stay with it.

If u are like me who yearn for new tech regardless whether there is a need to, go for it.

You will in fact see a drop in performance since the OC potential of 4770K is better than 4790K (reviewer has been complaining that)

But that 4770K OC potential has been hindered by the higher temps. So the conclusion is you will net 0 performance boost.

Just wait for Skylake, and dont bother with Broadwell since you are going to change mother board anyway.

Now less changes.... past profile change every few weeks.:D.

One item that has not changed for the past few years is the Focal XS 2.1 speakers . This has been my best buy. Change so many speakers and ended up back to Focal XS

My Altec Lansing ACS48 2.1 speakers has just reached its 15th year anniversary already.

Still in clear and good sounding condition. Refuses to die.
