If I getting 2 x 4TB (or 6TB) HDD for RAID 1, those series from WD, makes any different? Green, Red and Purple, which one suit for placing in the casing? :s11:

WD Greens are for general storage, WD Reds are for NAS use in a RAID setup and WD Purples are for CCTV use with greater write endurance. Since you are running RAID, get the Reds as the Intellipark feature has a tendency to make the read heads on WD Greens skip suddenly in a relatively audible and violent motion which may reduce the durability of WD Greens.

Ok. Will do. 6TB seem a bit too expensive for me. Mainly for photos, time to copy into a drive and mirror it. Currently got some external hard disk but can't RAID them, only can copy into one another. Thanks btw. :)

Decided on a NAS as I don't want to migrate the files when I change my system in the future. Just dump the photos over there and case close. Yup, got to spend on NAS but for long term, more worth. :)
