Since when a modern laptop ( especially in 2019 ) ships without a WIFI adapter ? Are you sure you didn't accidentally disabled it ?

Try customizing a L590. Scroll down to wifi adapter. They will put as None. (i.e no wifi adapter).

Lenovo SG website right ?

I search for the model, click view or customize, follow by another customize. Wi-Fi was already pre-selected with Intel ac9260, with the option to change to Realtek.

The only other connectivity options that was missing by default were LTE and NFC.

If you want to keep to business grade laptop, better to stick to the big 3 brands. The LG Gram remains a consumer model with 1 year by default.

External or internal ? If internal, open up the rear panel, install it and you can use the laptop as originally intended. You get a free 1tb HDD anyways.
