there nothing much really unless you into temple visiting or sleazy. a short trip should be fine.

Great food. If you are keen to buy Zebra products, there is a shop in town. You can also visit Songkla. Nice seaside city. Great seafood and beach.

I heard Haytai nothing much there and not really safe. More for men looking for sex? I have a male colleague who go there yearly for sex.

Alternatively, you can stay at Haytai for a nite or two then you extend your trip to Koh Lipe, a very nice and less commericalised island, very clear and nice sea. You can see below blog for more info.
