Will merge this thread with the one on the Samsung User Group :)
Is it only for Pokemon Go or does it occur too when the phone gets overly hot as described?

only happen in pokemon go. it wont flicker if i enter the throw pokeball, Also if i enter the multi windows mode.

the flicker can be quite sereve with shake images and distort if i enable "by default" hardware overlay in developer mode. now i leave it disable - get better like the video i taken.

also tried reinstall.

really confuse if my new phone GPU dying? or overheat issue? but only in pokemon go if i play more than 5-10 mins. I play other 3d game for very long, don seem to have the problem

Noted, I have tried it on my Galaxy S6 as well - but it doesn't present itself to me on my unit.

Do you have everything in the Developers menu "off" or "unchecked"?
Specifically under

"Input" - Show touches and Show Pointer location - Toggle it off.

"Drawing" - Show Screen Updates - should be off as well.

What could possibly be causing it
(1) a hardware issue - requires you to bring down to the Sv Ctr to verify
(2) a firmware issue - requires you to update to the latest
(3) app compatibility issue - requires one to check with fellow J5 users.

thanks. tried toggle with those developer mode, no use :(.
it seems like the flicker only happen when the phone heat up whilte playing pokemon, But other game wont.

now hoping if there a new firmware to fix it or hoping the flicker get worst enough to bring down to sv ctr

j5 phone has mostly sold out in here but hardly seem any j5 user. so weird.
