Sorry, just checking if anyone managed to get the Singtel issued 4960R to work with M1?

(Ps yes I know this router is crap but it's a waste to throw away LOL)

Unfortunately it will not work as it has SingTel built-in VLAN profile which can not be disabled. Same for other SingTel issued routers from Arcadyan/Airties/Askey.

You have to use another router as the main router. Then you can try to connect the Airties 4960R to your main router to see if it works as an AP. There are conflicting reports whether it works in AP mode or not. Other SingTel issued router works in AP mode, like Songtel AC Plus, SingTel Mesh Router and SingTel RT5703W.

If it does not work when you connet the Airties 4960R router WAN port to the LAN port of the main router (normal AP mode), you can try to connect the Airties 4960R router LAN port to the LAN port of the main router (custom AP mode). You may need to see if there is an option to disable DHCP server to get that to work properly.

But I tend to believe normal AP mode will work since it works with both Singtel ONT and Singtel ONR.

Any chance of crossflash to open it up?

No one bothers to try for SingTel customized routers like the following.

Singtel Mesh Router, Arcadyan
Singtel AC Plus, Arcadyan
Singtel AC Elite (AC1900), Arcadyan
AirTies Air 4960R, Airties
Wi-Fi 6 Router RT5703W-D17, Askey
Wi-Fi 6 Router (WG660242-ST), Arcadian

The ones made by Arcadyan will probably be not possible at all as they seem to be fully customized by SingTel. I believe it is the same for Askey RT5703W-D17.

Airties Air 4906R seems to be a model not only uses by SingTel (customized by SingTel) but also by other ISPs. So maybe there is a way in theory.

Still why bother? None of the SingTel issued router is good anyway. Just use them as an AP if you are not with SingTel. Even if you are with SingTel, it is also better to upgrade to a better wireless router (ONT users) or AP (ONR users).
