Honestly I don't know. I've yet to have more than 1 SSD per system so far ( 2 working systems as of now )

You can use them as scratch disks for photoshop or video editors perhaps

You can also always install them and use them for games, since games don't benefit much from being installed on super fast SSDs anyway. So might as well put them on old SSDs and leave the fast SSDs for more important stuff

You can also buy enclosures for them and use them as spare USB drives

How big and how small?

When we first started with consumer SSD, we had 64 GB SSD. And nobody complained.

Can use them as a spare drive, or just use it as a super fast portable drive. I believe even my old Intel X25 can run circles around any thumb drives out there.

those suggested to use as thumbdrive. how do u guys do it? is it buy a ssd enclosure with USB 3.0? :)
