I'd asked something similar in the ask Singapore reddit thread haha

I'm looking at the BDA course - trying to get more details as I'm looking to learn SQL and Python

I think they are starting a batch in mid Sept but they have future batches that they are looking to fill up. After using SF credit, will be around SGD 2600 for me (below 40 yrs)

I am in the midst of applying

In general, the RISE branding is very good due to the reputation of BCG. But if you are comparing it to a master's it will definitely be lacklustre.

For those considering master's, i definitely recommend OMSA or OMSCS by gatech. Go check out those programs especially if you already have a bachelor's degree.

hey i definitely looked in OMSA and am in a dilemma between OMSA and BCG. I would like to do a career switch from project management into data analyst role. Do you think the OMSA is much better despite the additional cost?

BCG's instructors are mostly outsourced from india. They have a few locals, but most are folks without much experience in the field. They are simply leveraging on BCG's brand name to attract students.

There are plenty of telegram groups with ex-bcg rise student in it. Once you talked to them you will have a better understanding. In comparison, OMSA is definitely miles better in terms of quality of content, instruction and reputation.

But the course can be pretty intense, so make sure you have done the necessary prep work, and don't go into the course without any technical knowledge.

I am currently enrolled in their BDA course. Not impressed so far. The syllabus spends too much time discussing about high-level overviews of AI & Data Analytics which are irrelevant and easily read up in other places.

I worry that this leaves too little time on understanding the technical tools that are far more important for upgrading the student.

How did you find the course in the end? Anyone else signing up for this year's intake?
