What is the rate for house-cleaning services?
Will hiring a maid from an agency be better bang for buck compared to hiring a house cleaning coy?
How much does a "Helper"(Maid) Earn?(Total package of hiring her from agency and related expenses)

Thanks in advance ;)

Hiring from a maid agency is cheaper than hiring a part time maid in Singapore but you wont feed one more mouth and have someone to stay in your home?
Been using Part time maid for a while and i find them ok but always fully booked

have just engaged a part time house cleaner. $300/mth, she's coming next week.

was told that they usually stay for approx 5 hours/week, but will definitely finish all the stuffs before leaving (even if it takes more than 5 hours)

will post 'reviews' next week

$300 a month is overpriced.

Hibiscus Housekeeping (www.hibiscushousekeeping.sg) provides cheaper rates, starting from $238. My sister uses them and told me that they did a special package for her $248 all-in including ironing and laundry which is a decent price as she lives in a large condo. Best thing is that they have no limit on hours and don't charge by the hour. So it guarantees that everything will get done.

I am now using a freelance housekeeper but I will switch to Hibiscus next month as I have paid her already. I decided to switch because I have had to change freelancers 3 times in the past 5 months due to frequent AWOL and not turning up etc. And they charge by hour so sometimes the time will drag to 5-6 hours and I end up paying more.

One thing I noticed... one of them actually purposely worked slowly to drag the time so as to earn more $$.

Ofc this depend on person to person and not saying all are like that. But that's the problem I have with hourly pay. There is an incentive to work slower.

using one of the more "established" company for part-time maid services now. But agree that most impt is the person who is doing the job.

What I did was I engaged them for my year end spring cleaning, and found 1 of them (5 cleaners came for the spring cleaning) to be very good and merticulous, and most impt to me was that she loves dogs and have dogs of her own. I have dogs and its impt that the cleaner is able to deal with them while doing the cleaning.

Now paying $300 for every 4 sessions. Timeframe wise I think it is dependent on the person, cause my cleaner she even stays behind to play with my dogs when she is done with all the claening, and sometimes she stay behind to do more stuffs cause she told me she doesnt have any other assignment for that day.

Just my 2 cents that take into consideration the person doing the job, and that may very well justify the cost, be it on the low or high side :)

There is no fix price for house cleaning services. Generally it depends on cleaning area. Each company has it's own price. Some service providers includes window cleaning and carpet cleaning also in house cleaning services so thay charge according to their services.

You are so right vikismith. Usually different companies charge differently. And also i think it is better to go to a carpet cleaning company to do your carpet cleaning because part time maids dont have the equipment and also the skills to clean your carpet. Maybe you can try all in one cleaning company like @bsolute Solutions for part time maid and carpet cleaning.

Do take note that some companies charge agent fee and some do, so choose wisely.

Hi Charmeleon,
You are looking one time cleaning or weekly cleaning?

I think you should go for Weekly House Cleaning Service, is much cheaper compare to one time cleaning.
