Not compatible. But you can contine using your Askey Mesh solution.

Your offer is very good recontract offer.

Singtel ONR 10G LAN port --> TP-Link HB611-SGST triband BE11000 router 2.5G WAN port (new SSID)

Singtel ONR 1G LAN port 1 --> Askey unit 1 (existing SSID)

Singtel ONR 1G LAN port 2 --> Askey unit2
Thanks. This is the offer I got (https://www.singtel.com/personal/pr...k&utm_campaign=fibre-link-recon-direct-mailer).

Based on what they say, I will get the new XGS-PON Optical Network Router (ONR) and the Singtel WiFi 7 Router (TP-Link BE11000). I guess these are basically the same thing? So the new Singtel router now comes with in-built WiFi 7?

Then I will connect my old WiFi 6 Askey Mesh to the new router and I will have a single network? Or will it be 2 separate networks now? Quite confused...

Last time I just buy a single WiFi router and connect to the internet modem and my whole house got internet already. Even bus stop across the 6 lane-road can access my wifi, as long as got line of sight.

No, Singtel ONR is a wired device without wireless function. It will be either ZTE F8648P or Nokia XS-240X-A.
HB611-SGST is the wireless router (working in AP mode).

You can just use the Singtel issued HB611-SGST to see if it is already good enough for you or not without the Askey. It should be better than the Askey.

Singtel ONR 10G LAN port --> TP-Link HB611-SGST triband BE11000 router 2.5G WAN port

Hi, I am using the Singtel WiFi 7 Router (HB611-SGST) as a mesh network: AP + node

Does anybody know how to combine the 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz and 6Ghz bands into a single SSID?

Currently, I can only combine the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz into one SSID, but the 6Ghz has to be in another SSID.

Thanks.

I believe it is not possible as of now, due to TP-Link EasyMesh implementation limitation.

I have tested using Archer BE805 + HB710 with wireless backhaul and I found out the similar problem. BTW, MLO SSID can not be used for wireless backhaul as of now.

I belive same limitation exists for Starhub issued EB810v/HB710 and Singtel issued HB810/HB611-SGST.

Even for Single router, it is not really possible to use single SSID for these TP-Link routers, at least two SSID and in fact I use four SSIDs with my HB710 (2.4GHz, 5GHz, 6GHz and MLO) and three SSIDs for my Archer BE805 (2.4GHz, 5GHz, 6GHz, MLO SSID disabled now due to stability issues).

Initially I used 2.4GHz/5GHz combined with the HB710 but some clients are having issues and they connect to 2.4GHz SSID instead of 5Ghz, so I have to seperate them.

Singtel now offers the following mesh solutions (not counting the Singtel FTTR FibreEverywhere Bundle)
https://www.singtel.com/personal/support/broadband/routers-ont

1Gbps capable WiFi 6 mesh solution: not recommended in general. Hopefully SingTel can get rid of them asap.

2.5Gbps capable WiFi 7 mesh solution:

10Gbps capable WiFi 7 mesh solution:

You can use the following combination as well.

Is this combination workable as tested, and where to buy the TPLink HB810?
  • TPLink HB810 Wi-Fi 7 Router + Singtel WiFi 7 Router (HB611-SGST)
The TP-Link technical support informed me that Singtel's brand WiFi 7 Routers are not compatible with TP-Link devices at all; reply from TP-Link support for ref:
For the compatibility of HB611 and Deco BE65, it depends on the way you want them to work together.
If you want them to connect via Ethernet cable, then they're compatible.
If you want them to connect wirelessly, then they're not compatible. Since HB611 only support easymesh and Deco BE65 supports Deco mesh. They use different mesh protocol, therefore they can't work together wirelessly.
If you want to extend the coverage, please check the below plans.
1. If you already have HB611, we suggest add HB710, HB810. *They only sold by ISP, please check if Singtel sell them separately.
2. If you already have Deco BE65, we suggest you add more Deco units.

1) TP-Link HB810 is also only from SingTel. It comes free with selected 10Gbps plans. You can also buy from SingTel at S$16.80 per month x 24 month = S$403.2.

Buying Link:
https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/broadband/eform/wifi7

[50% off] 1x TP-Link HB810 BE22000 WiFi 7 Router (worth $799) at $16.80/mth
+ Free Weekday Installation worth $91.68

2) TP-Link Service Provider models compatible with TP-Link EasyMesh like HB810 and HB611-SGST from SingTel can work with TP-Link Archer series like TP-Link Archer BE550 even though they will not be supported by SingTel.

TP-Link EasyMesh compatible service provider models like EB810v, HB710 and HB410 from Starhub can work with TP-Link Archer series like TP-Link Archer BE550 even though they will not be supported by Starhub.

3) TP-Link EasyMesh (Archer series consumer models or Aginet series service provider models) is NOT compatible with TP-Link Deco mesh.

Hmm, how can you get Askey 5100 to work after Starhub ONT ( Nucleus Connect box)? It needs to be behind another router. By right it can only function as an AP (or mesh node).

If the app is not working, can you try to log in to the Web UI or the main Askey 5100? You can find its IP address from your main router.

BTW, SIngtel may stop the support of this Askey 5100 pretty soon (until 31 May 2025), so maybe you do not want to use it. It can pose a great security risk to your home network after that date unless Singtel extends the support duration.

Singtel FW download site: no manual download for Askey AP5100W. I tend to guess Singtel will not extend the support after 31 May 2025. So it is better not to use it after that date.

https://www.singtel.com/personal/support/broadband/how-to-download-latest-firmware

Via MySingtel App (recommended by Singtel) -- for Singtel users.
Via Manual Download -- mainly for non SIngtel user's

don't use the app.

hard-reset the unit and use the default credentials. do you happen to know it?
