Apparently Norwegian authorities shut down their airport due to what they perceived as capable drone operator… question is if the 50-60 uncle and auntie learnt this drone flying skillset using their skills future. If so, congrats sg government for its policy success!

Probably no malicious intent.

If it is only deportation then they are lucky.

Nearly every country has a no fly zone for unapproved drones, even the US. If they could be bothered to bring a drone all the way there, they couldn't be bothered to find out where the restricted areas are?

By the way, the fortress mentioned in the article seems to be used for official govt purposes, including serving as the office/residence the country's PM and royalties at different times. It is also designated as a military area even though it is open to the public. No different from trying to fly one over the white house or even over our 38 oxley.

:(

Norway may deport a Singaporean couple suspected of illegally flying a drone over Oslo, the authorities in the Nordic country said on Sept 23.

The incident occurred just a few hours before Oslo and Copenhagen airports shut down for several hours due to drone sightings.

The couple, who police said were Singaporeans in their 50s and 60s, said they were both tourists visiting Norway.
