Anyone been to brunei before?

heard that brunei discriminates chinese. many chinese still stateless.

brunei does not need tourism since they are oil rich.

how much does your airfare costs? too bad no budget airline flies there if not i would have done a day trip or 2d1n trip to explore the place.

you can try royal brunei airline, its 400++ at low times inclusive of all fees

wonderful place to relax , low crime rate but dont expect to buy any branded stuff there..

non stressful, people do not walk fast there. no traffic jams

food wise, about same sg price, dont expect it to be lower..

no tall shopping malls. all low rise building

heard above 60 years old citizen get 250 dollar per month from govt. not bad ah..

although the internet says about 10% people are chinese, but rarely see chinese there thou..

Surprisingly they have a lot jollibee and only 1 mcdonalds.

water is cheaper than petrol which is only 50 cents+ per litre

M going Brunei this September for 3days..any tips/suggestion? SIM card will cost how much with say 1GB data?

Hi all, been wanted to travel to Brunei during the Hari Raya long holiday from 24 to 26 Jun 17, just wanna check during that period is all the attraction and shops open? I have check with one travel agency call Baba Travel that offered $500 per pax for air tix, hotel, airport transport and 1/2 day city tour. However I cannot find much info abt that travel agency, so anyone has used that agency b4 ma?

Been to Brunei (twice). Quite a chill place. Not much to do there but I don't agree that you will be able to see everything within 6 hours. To do the whole country justice, I would recommend 3 days.

How did you travel around there?

Online reports said taxis are very expensive........

There is Dart, instead of Grab and Uber.

If I am to visit Brunei, my itinerary may well start at Miri, Sarawak. There are direct Air Asia flights to Miri, which is a 2 hour bus ride to Bandar Seri Bengawan (BSB) along the coastal breadth of Brunei.
